Oops, another year

Another year passed.

It’s almost March 2026. I don’t actually know what to write.

I had a terrible arm fracture in February 2025, so it’s quite difficult for me to remember things that are now almost a blur. But I will try.

Academic

As for my learning process, I’d rather not dwell on it because it’s quite embarrassing.

First was the second semester of my first year, from March to June 2025. It was fucking terrible for me. I failed almost every course and did not know what I had done.

Then, after summer vacation, we moved to the new campus (PS: So remote that I don’t even know where I can go.) and started the first semester of my second year.

Unfortunately, I still didn’t pass 2 of my courses 😭. Maybe I will invest more time on learning.

Reading & Publishing

I only got some time to read online novels mostly this year.

I spent so much on these platforms: CNY 538.36 on jjwxc.net and CNY 139.16 on qidian.com. They also brought me so much joy, so thanks to these authors! Here are some of my favorites:

  • [足球]球员都在做什么: It’s kinda nonsense from the start. A disabled philosophy teacher dies and returns to a time before everything happened. It has a kind of cliché structure, but I like the idea the author wants to express.
  • 回到十六岁[足球]: Have the same mental issue as me. I would also be that sad sometimes.

But I did read some other books. Giovanni’s Room is great; I would recommend it.

I also got some time to edit and publish an ebook (红领巾之夏) for others. It was very interesting to review a book and make some edits.

Movies, Series, and Anime

Though I didn’t write any blog this year, I will also put some summary here.

  • Heated Rivalry S01: Only like the secondary couple, but both sweet.
  • The Pitt S01: Wow, I want to be a doctor now.
  • Severance S02: Great series, but I don’t know what’s next.
  • Los Amantes Astronautas: Love, pure love.
  • The substance: Interesting topic, beauty and fame.
  • Inside Out 2: I think it’s time to end this story, I like it.
  • Mickey 17: Better than the book, but still not good.
  • Dune & Dune 2: I regret the full background isn’t presented at all, making me confused.
  • When Life Gives You Tangerines S01: Pure tears. Empathy made me cry for all episodes.

Coding

I think I am satisfied with my coding in 2025.

First is accompanist-lyrics, including the UI and core. I spent a lot of time thinking about the animation, and the result proved that the time was worthwhile.

What’s more, I have to talk about gaze. It started as a composable library. Gradually, I added nav, then migrated smooth rounded corners and liquid glass. Also, thanks to my friend Kyant, who initially created these libraries for Android.

For fun, I also published some flight, including Clef, the music player, Compound, the Telegram client, and Coal, the freeform note-taking app.

And thanks to Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT for helping me realize my ideas. Thanks to all documentation authors and library developers!

And Life

I made some changes in 2025, and I don’t know if they were great. But I am thankful that I had the courage to make them.

Though the first semester of my second year was really busy, I still captured some moments and feelings.

I didn’t finish all my 2025 plans, only dropped some weights, read some books. I think I can explore more in 2026.
